For the last 15 years we have been positioning a .dot com services website and during this time we went through many, many SEO experts. One who got us turned off by Google Search for two months! This was one of our most painful lessons. This SEO expert had a very high profile job at Microsoft with their third-party website community.

This taught us that back then as it is today there are no published methods for winning at the SEO game. When became a household word we knew SEO would not be the main driving force for traffic.

It is the same as it was in the 1960’s on Madison Avenue in New York. It getting your message in front of your customers. The main difference is back then there were three networks; ABC, CBS and NBC. If you placed an ad on all three you would of reached 70 percent of the U.S. population.

Today, we have millions and millions of networks or communities; i.e. Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Reddit, Stumbelupon, Linkedin, etc., etc., etc.. On top of this we have more content being added every month that was added in the year 2003 alone.
So what do you do?

It is called positioning.

You position your Brand in the communities your ideal customers are looking for answers that you provide and engage them to increase your ROI.
